CREEDWELL ORCHARD DECISION

 

TAUNTON DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL HAVE CONSIDERED MILVERTON PARISH COUNCIL’S REQUEST TO REVOKE THE CERTIFICATE OF LAWFULNESS RELATING TO THE DEVELOPMENT AT CREEDWELL ORCHARD.

 

UNFORTUNATELY THE TAUNTON DEANE SOLICITOR HAS REFUSED TO REVOKE THE CERTIFICATE AND SO THE THREAT OF DEVELOPMENT IN THIS PART OF THE VILLAGE REMAINS.

 

THE PARISH COUNCIL IS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED BY THIS ANNOUNCEMENT AND IS EXAMINING THE DECISION CAREFULLY WITH ITS SOLICITORS BEFORE DECIDING ON FURTHER ACTION.

 

A FULL REPORT ON THE DECISION AND RECOMMENDATION FOR FUTURE ACTIONS WILL BE MADE AT THE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING ON 9th JUNE.

 

The next Parish Council meeting will be on 6th July. The meeting will be held in the Victoria Rooms at 7.30pm. The agenda is on the Meetings page.

Mrs Jenny Hoyle is Chairman for the current year and Mr Michael King is Vice Chairman.

The long awaited parking audit will take place over the next 6 weeks.

Mrs Dawn Stephenson has been co-opted to the Parish Council following the resignation of Mrs Lavinia Werrett has resigned from the Parish Council.
